Euphoria Massage & Energetics

Jacob Kelly

Hello and welcome.   My name is Jacob Kelly.   I am a registered massage therapist and the proprietor of Euphoria Massage & Energetics.   I provide innovative and effective massage therapy and energetic balancing in Colorado Springs.

In the years since Euphoria opened its doors, bodywork has revealed to me the magic of the universe through the movement and stillness of the human form.  If you listen deeply, you can hear the Universe’s wisdom speaking through your own body.  Helping people (you) learn how to do this is an additional service I provide.

As a 2000 graduate of Colorado Springs Academy of Therapeutic Massage (CO), I received 1,100 hours classroom training and more than 150 hours of practice and clinical massage outside of the classroom.  In school I was certified in 4 modalities of therapy massage: Swedish, sports, deep-tissue, and neuro-muscular therapy.  I received my Colorado Springs City License in ’01.  In 2005 I became a certified Reiki Master as well receiving certification in therapeutic hot stone massage.

These classes and formal training certainly were important steps on the healing path, but ultimately my clients and my well-seasoned intuition have been my greatest teachers.  The simple and profound act of listening to your body is one of the most amazing things that I have ever encountered, and likely ever will.  This path is my life now and it is my life’s work.  I wish to share it with all who wish to find health within themselves.

Another notably interesting and, what has proven to be powerful, expansion in my world of work and learning happened in 2004 –  that was the beginning of my  amazing adventure into sound healing which has come a long way and is now a part of nearly every session I give.

I am currently a full-time body worker.  My office is located within The Crossing Healing Arts Center in downtown Colorado Springs.  The Crossing Healing Arts is a unique and well-established go to spot for complementary and alternative medicine in the Colorado Springs area.  John Garrison, D.C., founded The Crossing Healing Arts Center more than 20 years ago and his Chiropractic and Acupuncture practice is still very active throughout the week.  It is my pleasure to work in this healing environment with Dr. John, Anne Oglesby (Certified Nutritionist), Susan Blue, RMT, NCCST, STR therapist, and Joyce Reynolds, CNMT, RMT.

The Crossing Healing Arts is located at 627 N. Weber St., Ste. #2 in Colorado Springs, 80903.

I think of all bodywork as “energy” work.  That is because I view all things as manifestations of energy of one kind or another.  I happen to work with human energy for a living.  The way I think about it, however, is that everyone is constantly working with energy.  Their own energy, the energy of the gadgets and other animals and environments in their lives.  Even thoughts and emotions are energies.

In many cases what I do is work to release energy blockages by accessing tensions caught up in the soft tissues of the human form.  When I do this (or anything else for that matter) I am exerting energy, too.  Did you know that emotions and even memories of specific events (especially traumatic ones) store themselves in your physical tissues?  That’s right, it is not all in your head.

So when it is put into this context, energy work may open up and begin to take on a more viable existence in one’s thinking.  When we move on to discuss more subtle energy modalities of healing such as Reiki, Reconnection, polarity therapy or zero point balancing (there are so many I can’t list them all), what we are talking about is the often ignored, unconscious,  intangible energy system of the human body.  This kind of energy work can often deal with emotional blockages more readily than physical but if there is one thing that I have seen time and time again – it is all connected, body, mind, emotions, everything. The human energetic system is at once simple yet all encompassing, and vastly complex and intertwined with all other energies in the universe.

Put together, subtle energy work and not so subtle energy work (massage), can lead to amazing exploration/ realization of one’s own self through nothing short of transformational healing.
